Josep Guardiola, the head coach of Manchester City, shared his open and honest thoughts after the match against Wolverhampton in the English Premier League (1:0).
The experienced Spanish specialist stated that the team is developing well, but he took a critical look at the quality of the game.
"Of course, if we look at the result, our current situation is better than before. However, if we pay attention to the quality of the game, we still need to improve many aspects. In the first 20 minutes of the game, the opponent left us behind, they created several dangerous situations. To be honest, saying we were lucky would not be an exaggeration. We could not fully operate in our style in today's match. Nevertheless, our goal is clear, and we will continue to strive towards it," said Guardiola.
According to the coach, the current state of the team is noticeably better than it was a few weeks ago.
"We have been winning in the last few matches, and in addition, our opponents are dropping points. If we continue to play like today, it is not a bad result. But the most important thing is that we must never lose our vigilance. Such difficult victories remind us that we still have a lot of work to do," emphasized the head coach of the "Citizens".
