AFA President Claudio Tapia was summoned for investigation

Claudio Tapia, president of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), has been summoned by the prosecutor's office for questioning as part of an investigation into social contributions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Euro-football.ru also reported on this matter. In this case, AFA treasurer Pablo Tovigino is also being considered a suspect.
Law enforcement authorities have decided to temporarily ban both individuals from leaving the country. The questioning is scheduled to take place on March 5.
The investigation began based on information that $13 million, which was supposed to be paid to the state treasury as social contributions by the AFA, did not arrive. Additionally, a 10-hectare estate owned by Claudio Tapia, which includes a helicopter landing pad, has also been included in the scope of the investigation.
The prosecutor's office is also examining the amount of bonuses paid to football players. It has been noted that these bonuses are even less than Tapia's international flight expenses.
It is expected that all issues will be thoroughly examined during this case.
