AFA President Claudio Tapia was summoned for questioning

The president of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Claudio Tapia, was summoned for questioning by the prosecutor's office in connection with unpaid social contributions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The "Euro-football.ru" publication reported this. AFA treasurer Pablo Tovigino has also been registered as a suspect in this case.
Law enforcement authorities have banned Tapia and Tovigino from leaving the country. The investigation began following information from the AFA about social contributions amounting to 13 million dollars that were not transferred to the state treasury on time.
Additionally, the prosecutor's office is inspecting a 10-hectare property belonging to Tapia, including a helicopter landing pad on the premises. Furthermore, investigators are paying special attention to the amount of bonuses given to players.
According to the information, these bonuses were significantly lower than the expenses incurred by Tapia for international flights. The questioning within this case is scheduled to take place on March 5.
