AFA President Claudio Tapia was summoned for investigation

The president of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Claudio Tapia, has been summoned by the prosecutor's office for questioning in connection with unpaid social contributions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Law enforcement agencies have banned Tapia and Tovigino from leaving the country. The questioning is scheduled to take place on March 5.
During the investigation, allegations are being examined that the AFA failed to transfer funds amounting to 13 million dollars to the state treasury for social payments. In addition, a property owned by Tapia, consisting of 10 hectares and equipped with a helicopter landing pad, has also come under suspicion as part of the investigation.
Furthermore, the prosecutor's office is separately reviewing the amount of bonuses given to football players. According to information, these bonuses may be less than the expenses Tapia incurred for international flights.
