AFA leader Claudio Tapia was summoned to the prosecutor's office

The head of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Claudio Tapia, was summoned to the prosecutor's office for questioning in connection with the non-payment of social contributions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by euro-football.ru. In this case, AFA treasurer Pablo Tovigino is also considered a suspect.
During the investigation, law enforcement authorities prohibited both officials from leaving the country. It is known that the questioning will take place on March 5.
The investigation began after a shortage of 13 million dollars was discovered in the state treasury regarding social contributions that AFA was supposed to pay. In addition, investigators have also focused on Claudio Tapia's property.
In particular, his 10-hectare land plot with a helicopter landing pad became an object of inspection. The prosecutor's office is also interested in the amount of bonuses allocated for the players.
Documents indicate that this amount is significantly lower than Tapia's expenses for international flights. This investigation has raised various suspicions related to financial matters in the football organization's activities.
