AFA President Claudio Tapia summoned for investigation

The president of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Claudio Tapia, is scheduled to be questioned by the prosecutor's office in an investigation regarding unpaid social contributions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information was reported by the euro-football.ru publication. Alongside Tapia, the organization's treasurer, Pablo Tovigino, has also been involved in the investigation.
Law enforcement authorities have banned these two officials from leaving the country. The questioning process is expected to take place on March 5.
The investigation began due to a shortage of $13 million in social contributions that AFA was supposed to transfer to the budget. Additionally, Tapia's personal property, namely a 10-hectare land plot and a helipad located on it, has attracted the attention of investigators.
The prosecutor's office is also examining the bonus payments given to football players. According to information, the amount of these bonuses may be less than the expenses incurred by Tapia for his flights worldwide.
For this reason, this matter is also being considered separately.
