Manchester United to spend €100 million on Tchouaméni

After a series of failed transfer attempts, Manchester United have turned their attention to Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni, Zamin.uz reports.
INEOS management is reportedly prepared to spend over €100 million on the French star as part of a broader effort to rebuild and strengthen the squad, according to Goal.com. The English club appears ready to take decisive action this time around.
United had previously pursued Mateus Fernandes, but negotiations stalled over bonus structures, leading the player to join Tottenham. Additionally, targets such as Sandro Tonali and Elliot Anderson have slipped away, increasing pressure on the Red Devils to act decisively.
Now, the focus is on addressing a long-standing issue in midfield by signing a world-class operator. Reliable insider Fabrizio Romano states that, internally at Manchester United, Tchouaméni is viewed as the preferred candidate.
Club officials see him as a natural successor to the aging Casemiro. His high mental resilience and ability to read the game are expected to play a key role in the new tactical system being shaped by the coaching staff.
According to The Athletic, if Real Madrid’s management agrees to sell the French international, United will immediately submit a formal offer. Spanish giants may need to offload some high-earning assets first to fund new signings, which could create an opening for United.
However, several serious obstacles remain on the path to a deal. As Romano has emphasized, the main issue could be related to the player’s salary.
Tchouaméni currently earns a high wage at Madrid, and United’s representatives are in talks with his agents to negotiate the terms of a potential move to England. Despite this, strengthening the midfield remains a top priority within the INEOS project.
If an agreement with Tchouaméni falls through, United may also consider Alex Scott as an alternative. Nevertheless, the Frenchman is still seen as the key figure who could define the team’s future style of play.
These developments are expected to reach a resolution in the near future.
