Aleksandr Mostovoy expressed his opinion on Putin's sports policy

Former midfielder Alexander Mostovoy, who played for Spain's "Celta" and Moscow's "Spartak" clubs, answered the question of which sports issues he would discuss with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by www.euro-football.ru.

In his opinion, the president should focus on more urgent and comprehensive problems. Issues related to sports should be entrusted to specialists dealing with Russian sports, said the football expert in an interview with the "Match TV" channel. Currently, Russian clubs and national teams are excluded from international competitions by the decision of FIFA and UEFA.

This situation is seriously affecting the country's sports. Last season, the "Krasnodar" team won the championship in the Russian Premier League.

The second place was taken by St. Petersburg's "Zenit" team, and in third place was the Central Sports Club of the Army, or CSKA. These results indicate the level of competitiveness in Russian football, but the bans in the international arena are negatively impacting the activities of athletes and clubs.

Collaboration between specialists and government agencies is necessary to improve the situation in the sports sector.
