Cheltsov: Golovin will stay at "Monaco" for a long time, he will not be promoted
Famous agent Dmitriy Cheltsov shared his thoughts on the future of midfielder Aleksandr Golovin, who plays for Russia's Monaco team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He stated that Aleksandr is in a difficult situation due to high salary, transfer value, and injury risk. According to Cheltsov, it is not easy for Golovin to move to another team in order to elevate his level.
He emphasized this point in an interview with the publication "Chempionat." In the agent's opinion, the best option for Golovin is to stay in Monaco for a long time. Then he might return to continue his career in Russia.
However, Cheltsov considers Golovin's willingness to fit into the game plan, meaning agreeing to be a substitute player, as a decisive factor. In the 2024/25 season, the Russian player played a total of 29 matches across all tournaments, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
His contract with Monaco is set to last until 2029. Thus, Golovin's future remains dependent on team and personal decisions.
