Former player of the former capital's "Spartak" team, Valeriy Gladilin, shared his thoughts on the chances of the "red-whites" in the upcoming season of the Russian Professional Football League (RPFL). This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, new players are necessary to strengthen the team. Although there are already enough players in the team for competition, "Spartak" is capable of fighting for the championship with the same squad.
These words were quoted by the "Championat" publication from Gladilin's statements. Last season, the "Spartak" team, under the leadership of Serbian specialist Dejan Stankovich, finished fourth in the Russian championship standings. The team was unable to reach the country cup final, missing the opportunity in the final match against "Rostov".
After the season ended, Stankovich officially announced that he would continue working with "Spartak". The team has the task of achieving high results in the new season as well.
Leaders and coaches are working on new plans to strengthen the squad and remain competitive. Fans are also eagerly awaiting the team's new successes.
