Russia and the USA national teams are discussing a friendly match

The president of the Russian Football Federation, Alexander Dyukov, expressed his thoughts on the possibility of a friendly match with the USA national team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, theoretically, such a meeting could take place, but the likelihood of it happening this year is low. The USA national team has already identified its upcoming opponents.

At the level of youth teams, however, the chances of such matches are higher. It should be noted that, by the joint decision of FIFA and UEFA, the Russian national team has been banned from participating in international competitions. Therefore, Valery Karpin's team can only hold friendly matches.

In their last preparatory match, Russia achieved a significant victory over the Belarus team with a score of 4:1. This result reflects the current state of the team and allows for the continuation of friendly matches in the future.

Thus, although participation in official competitions is limited, friendly matches are considered important for the development of Russian football.
