The president of Syon said that the game with Zenit will not be canceled

The president of the "Sion" club, Christian Constantin, expressed his opinion that the friendly match scheduled to be held with "Zenit" may be canceled. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The Swiss Football Federation had previously called for "Sion" not to play a match with the Russian club. However, Constantin emphasized in an interview with Sport24 that no one will allow the game with "Zenit" in Russia to be canceled, as this is an unofficial event.

He even stated that he himself initiated this friendly match. It should be noted that the control match between "Zenit" and "Sion" is scheduled for July 9 in St. Petersburg. Additionally, the teams have previously played against each other.

In the friendly match held in 2016, "Sion" won with a score of 3:1. Therefore, the likelihood of the match being canceled is low, and both sides are striving to adhere to the agreed plan.

The president of "Sion" noted the importance of the match in his opinion and that it is a personal initiative. The holding of this match is expected to further strengthen cooperation and sports friendship between the teams.
