Newcastle aims for the transfer of Tapsoba

According to FourFourTwo, the club has prioritized the purchase of a defender. Last season, the "Magpies" attempted to acquire Crystal Palace player Marc Guehi but were unsuccessful.

Currently, Marc Guehi is close to moving to Liverpool. Therefore, Newcastle has sent an offer to Bayer's defender Edmond Tapsoba, looking for a suitable alternative from the Bundesliga.

26-year-old Burkina Faso national team member Edmond Tapsoba has been playing for the team since 2020. Last season, he played a total of 43 matches across all competitions, providing 2 assists and receiving 7 yellow cards.

The Transfermarkt portal values the player at 35 million euros. Newcastle is planning to specifically acquire Tapsoba to strengthen their defense.

This transfer is expected to significantly improve the team's defensive line. Club officials have also reported that they are working on adding the new player to the team.
