The Russian national team does not play at Spartak Stadium

The Russian national team is currently only holding friendly matches under sanctions and prefers to play mainly at home. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

However, the national team's games will not take place at the Spartak Stadium, namely the Lukoyl Arena, at least until next year. This was announced by Maxim Mitrofanov, the general secretary of the Russian Football Union.

According to Mitrofanov, the Russian Football Union is obligated to provide a loge for partners, but currently, there is no such opportunity at the Spartak Stadium. The representatives of the Spartak team prefer to sell the loge for any events held at the stadium, which is why they cannot provide a loge for national team games.

This is their own decision, Mitrofanov said in an interview with the Russian news agency. The Russian national team held a friendly match against Nigeria in June, which ended in a 1:1 draw.

Additionally, they won 4:1 in an away match against Belarus. For now, the national team's main focus is on home games, but due to issues related to the stadium and loge presentation, football life in the country is partially limited.
