Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny has extended his contract with FC Barcelona for two years. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The new agreement will be in effect until the summer of 2027. This was announced by the club's press service.
It is worth noting that Szczęsny joined Barcelona last October. He was brought in to replace the main goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, who was injured.
Ter Stegen has been sidelined until the end of the season. Szczęsny is 35 years old.
Last season, he played in 30 matches for Barcelona, keeping a clean sheet in 14 of them. At the end of the season, Barcelona won the Spanish championship, the Cup, and the Super Cup, and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
