Liverpool will hold a special event in memory of Jota

The next match between Liverpool and Preston will take place on July 13 and will be dedicated to the memory of Diogo Jota and those who lost their lives in the car accident with his brother Andre Silva. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to information provided on the club's official website, the Liverpool anthem will be sung before the match begins, and a wreath will be placed in front of the red team's fans. The players will wear black armbands as they take to the field and will observe a minute of silence in memory of the deceased.

A special match program dedicated to Diogo Jota and his brother will also be presented. It is worth noting that on July 3, the 28-year-old Liverpool player and his brother lost their lives in a car accident in Spain.

Jota had been representing Liverpool since 2020. The club management will pay all funds to the player's family according to the contract, which is valid until 2027, and will retire the number 20 jersey worn by Jota.

This decision was made to preserve the memory of the player forever.
