
Swedish striker Anthony Elanga has left Nottingham Forest to join Newcastle. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The official website of the "foresters" announced this. According to other sources, the transfer fee was nearly 64 million euros.
Previously, Elanga played for "Elfsborg," "Malmo," and "Manchester United," and since 2023, he has been active with Nottingham Forest. The team's head coach Eddie Howe said: "He was one of our main targets, so I’m pleased we secured him at the start of pre-season preparations."
Last season, the 23-year-old player appeared in 43 matches across all competitions, scoring 6 goals and providing 12 assists. Elanga is expected to perform successfully in his new team.
