In the first match of the new season of the Russian Premier League, Moscow's "Dinamo" team hosted Kaliningrad's "Baltika" club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In this official match, Valery Karpin made his debut as head coach of his new team. According to the match protocol, the game ended in a 1:1 draw.
Osipenko and Sergeev made their debut for "Dinamo," while Beveev was the only new player in the starting lineup for "Baltika." At the beginning of the match, "Dinamo" showed some activity, but it did not lead to a positive result for the team.
Osipenko attempted to head a ball delivered by Kaseres from the right flank, but the ball did not go into the left corner. Later, "Baltika" launched a quick counterattack, and in the 12th minute, Saus accelerated down the right flank, passed the ball under Sko'pintsev, and Xil placed the ball into an empty net.
Thus, "Baltika" took the lead. It was not easy for "Dinamo" to equalize the score.
Gladyshev moved from the right flank towards the center and struck a ball that deflected off Andrad, but Borisko saved the goal. During the match, "Baltika" had more opportunities to score a second goal than "Dinamo" had to score their first.
In the second half of the match, Bityello accurately delivered a corner kick from the right flank, creating an opportunity for Kaseres. Kaseres took a shot from the penalty area, and after deflecting off Andrad, the ball entered the goal, making the score 1:1.
Changes occurred in the match as Marichal Fernandes came onto the field. At the same time, "Baltika's" dangerous counterattacks decreased.
"Dinamo" became a bit more active in attack, but there were few accurate shots on goal. In the end, the match concluded with a score of 1:1.
With this result, "Dinamo," under Karpin's leadership, started the season with a draw. "Baltika," on the other hand, demonstrated its strength, proving its recent victory against "Zenit" in a friendly match.
In this match, both teams showed that they would compete for higher positions in the future.
