
An expanded meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the issues of ensuring the employment of graduates from higher education institutions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At the meeting, the head of state gave specific instructions on providing jobs for 92 thousand graduates who are currently unemployed and creating additional job opportunities. According to him, 20 thousand graduates will enhance their professional knowledge through master's and second specialty programs.
It was also emphasized that it is possible to place another 20 thousand graduates in job positions that do not require internships in about 10 thousand enterprises. Business incubators will be established in each region, with the task of employing 15-20 thousand graduates through entrepreneurship, startups, marketing, design, and information technology services.
It was reported that there is an opportunity to employ 10 thousand engineers, technologists, operators, quality control, and finance specialists in the fields of chemistry, energy, geology, automotive industry, metallurgy, and pharmaceuticals. Additionally, it is planned to provide permanent employment for 5-7 thousand graduates in the textile, leather, electrical engineering, construction materials, and food industry sectors.
Officials were tasked with involving 6 thousand graduates in transport, logistics, road construction, and communal sectors, as well as placing 10 thousand graduates in institutions in the fields of pedagogy, medicine, social protection, culture, and art. Furthermore, assistance will be provided to 30 thousand graduates in starting their own businesses.
The head of state paid special attention to working with unorganized youth. Currently, the employment of 115 thousand young people is being ensured by ministries, regional, and district leaders.
Additionally, the positive result of 52 thousand at-risk youth being taken under guardianship by law enforcement agencies was noted. The need for systematic work with the remaining 5.5 thousand unemployed, 31 thousand at-risk youth, and 3 thousand students excluded from education was emphasized.
Officials were instructed to work together with governors, neighborhood leaders, deputy governors, and youth leaders to train and employ 9 thousand unorganized and expelled youth in entrepreneurship, foreign languages, and modern professions. Moreover, the task was set to involve 31 thousand at-risk youth in vocational and language clubs, sports competitions, and military-patriotic events.
