Important tasks have been set for the development of the preschool education sector in Uzbekistan and for creating favorable conditions for children. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
By the end of this year, an additional 182 thousand kindergarten places are planned to be established across the country. Of these places, 82 thousand will come from newly constructed kindergartens.
However, it was specifically emphasized that not all aspects of the issue have been fully resolved. Currently, 255 rooms in 118 kindergartens are noted to be vacant and in need of repair.
Additionally, criticism was made regarding construction and repair works in some districts being prolonged for two to three years. In particular, in the districts of Chimboy, G‘allaorol, Qiziriq, and Boysun, one kindergarten in each has still not been repaired.
In the districts of Dehqonobod, Sariosiyo, Bo‘stonliq, and Nurafshon, the construction of one new kindergarten each has not been completed. Therefore, clear instructions were given to regional and district governors: to repair the rooms in 118 kindergartens, equip them with necessary facilities, and launch 8 kindergartens that have been delayed for many years.
A deadline of November 1 was set for the governors to fulfill this task. If the specified deadline is not met, appropriate measures will be taken against the responsible officials.
It is evident that the government is strengthening accountability and applying a serious approach to resolving problems in the sector (source: zamin.uz).
