The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan has approved new rules for evaluating educational programs in vocational education institutions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This document came into effect on December 1, 2025. According to this procedure, a total of 163 indicators have been established, divided into six directions based on 31 criteria.
The indicators are divided into mandatory and general types. Mandatory indicators include the responsible department's specific work plan and the adequate provision of classrooms.
General indicators cover the use of modern educational literature, conducting surveys among students, and the availability of sports infrastructure. During the evaluation process, each indicator is assessed based on the principle of "complies" or "does not comply."
If less than half of the criterion is met, it is considered "does not comply." If between half and 60 percent is met, it is rated as "partially complies," and if more than 60 percent is achieved, it is rated as "complies."
An important aspect is that if any mandatory indicator is found to "not comply," regardless of the results of other indicators, the criterion is overall assessed as "does not comply." These new criteria are aimed at improving the quality of education and serve to ensure more effective management within the vocational education system.
