“Skill and Business Hour” will be introduced in schools
Starting from the 2026–2027 academic year, educational institutions plan to regularly hold “Skill and Business Hour” events aimed at guiding students to create startup ideas, develop them, and turn them into real projects. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This initiative aims not only to enhance students' theoretical knowledge but also to develop practical skills. The new system is based on the principle of “we study and earn.”

These events will be introduced gradually. Specifically, for students of grades 9–11 in general secondary education and students of secondary specialized and vocational education institutions, “Skill and Business Hour” will be organized at least twice a month.

In active schools, these events may be held more frequently, but the minimum plan is set at twice a month. The events will be organized in several directions.

The first direction is the “Best Startup Idea” competition. Prize money of up to 5 million soums is planned for district-level winners, and up to 10 million soums for regional-level winners.

This funding will serve as additional motivation for students to turn their projects into prototypes. The second direction is quarterly presentations of students' projects.

During these presentations, students will defend their ideas before parents, business representatives, and the scientific community, answer questions, and receive feedback. This process helps students develop their ability to express their thoughts freely and improve communication skills.

The third direction is market entry. Cooperation will be established with marketplaces to implement the practice of selling products made in educational institutions.

This will increase students' understanding of real market conditions and motivation to see the results of their work. Additionally, starting from April 1, 2026, government bodies and organizations will announce competitions on crowdsourcing platforms regarding problems in their fields and hold “Startup Day” events every month.

Through this, students' ideas will be applied not only in educational institutions but also in solving real problems. These initiatives serve to direct the younger generation towards creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Therefore, students are advised to start working on their interests and ideas now. This process will lay the foundation for their successful startup and business projects in the future.
