The first "Happiness" faculty in the world was established at one of the leading universities in the United States. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The aim of this faculty is to provide a scientific approach to the growing mental health issues in modern society, particularly anxiety, depression, loneliness, and dissatisfaction with life. Representatives of the faculty emphasize that mental distress is currently increasing globally, and studying happiness scientifically is considered a very important task.
The educational process will be conducted entirely online and will last for 4 years. Students will receive lessons in neurobiology, psychology, religious studies, philosophy, literature, and other humanities.
Graduates who successfully complete this program will have the opportunity to work in fields such as healthcare, political consulting, teaching in education, scientific research, or promoting mental stability. Initially, it is planned to admit 25 students to the faculty, with the number of students expected to increase to 100 later.
Thus, happiness is now recognized not only as a personal feeling but also as a subject to be studied and taught. This innovation will serve to improve mental health and address social issues in society.
