French President Emmanuel Macron announced that the ban on mobile phone use currently in place in secondary schools will be extended to upper-grade students starting from the next academic year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This measure will be implemented gradually from 2025. This new policy has so far been tested in nearly one hundred schools with successful results.
According to President Macron, this step aims to reduce loneliness and mental health issues among young people. Spending excessive time on social networks can negatively affect students' psychological well-being.
Therefore, by restricting phone use in schools, the goal is to improve students' mental and physical health. This initiative, called the "Digital Break," serves to distance young people from social networks and increase their attention to interpersonal communication and lessons.
It is also expected to enhance the effectiveness of the educational process.
