Bill Gates spends his 200 billion dollar fortune on charity
One of the founders of Microsoft and one of the world's most famous billionaires, Bill Gates, announced one of the biggest and most important decisions of his life. According to him, over the next 20 years, Gates plans to spend almost all of his wealth for the benefit of the world's people through the Gates Foundation.

“Over the next 20 years, I will direct all my wealth towards saving lives and improving the well-being of people globally. I will do this through the Gates Foundation. On December 31, 2045, this foundation will officially cease its activities,” Gates wrote in his statement.

He emphasized that this initiative aims to utilize the 200 billion dollar fund for the benefit of all humanity. It is noted as one of the largest personal aid projects in charity history.

Health and human life as a priority

Gates announced that these funds will primarily be directed towards preventive measures, medical programs, and combating poverty. In his view, it is essential to protect newborns, children, and mothers from "preventable causes" of death. Additionally, eradicating severe diseases such as polio, malaria, measles, tuberculosis, and AIDS will be one of the main goals.

Indirect criticism of Trump and philosophical conclusion

According to Reuters, Gates indirectly criticized former US President Donald Trump through his statement. The reason is that the Trump administration had cut or halted several international aid programs.

Bill Gates also expressed his personal philosophy:
“People may have various opinions after I pass away. But I do not want there to be a statement among them saying 'He died rich,'” he said.

His words reaffirm that values and humanity take precedence over money.

The future of the foundation and its financial scope

The Gates Foundation, established in 2000 by Bill Gates and his then-wife Melinda Gates, was initially planned to operate for many years after their deaths. However, Gates has now announced his decision to accelerate this and spend charitable funds during his lifetime.

Since its establishment, the Gates Foundation has allocated over 100 billion dollars for projects combating diseases such as AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria, as well as for education and humanitarian initiatives.

According to Bloomberg, Bill Gates' current total wealth is estimated to be around 108 billion dollars.

Gates' decision can be assessed not only as a financial move but also as a historic humanitarian reality. His initiative sets a balance between big business and global responsibility.
