Trump said to control the border and implement tariffs

Sharq Yaqin region is witnessing a sharp escalation in military and political tensions, with the flames of war flaring with renewed intensity, as reported by Zamin.uz.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced full American control over the Strait of Hormuz—a strategically vital chokepoint for the global economy and international logistics—and declared that all vessels passing through it would be subject to a 20% levy. In response, official Tehran threatened to completely close the strait and strike U.S. military bases.
Trump made the statement on his social media page, shaking the world with his declaration that, from now on, the United States would assume the role of the Strait of Hormuz’s primary guardian.
Under the new order, all civilian and commercial vessels navigating the waterway will be required to pay a fee amounting to 20% of the value of their cargo. Additionally, a strict maritime blockade against Iranian ships and foreign companies cooperating with Iran has been reinstated.
As the situation deteriorates, the U.S. Air Force has carried out three major airstrikes on Iranian territory within a single week. Iranian state media confirmed powerful explosions in strategic cities including Sirik, Konarak, Chabahar, Jask, and Bandar Abbas, alongside the capital, Tehran.
U.S. Central Command described these military operations as a proportionate response to Iran’s attack on a cargo ship flying the Cypriot flag. Recall that last year’s peace agreement collapsed after both sides accused each other of violating its terms.
Currently, instability in the region continues to pose a serious threat to global security.
