Volkswagen has presented the new Tiguan Turbo crossover for 2026, according to iXBT.com.
The new Tiguan Turbo is equipped with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, powerful EA888 evo5 turbo engine. It delivers 268 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. This is 67 horsepower stronger than the previous model, which had 201 horsepower. It even surpasses the Golf GTI (241 horsepower).
To increase power, engineers have installed a larger turbocharger, reinforced pistons and connecting rods, as well as a variable valve lift system.
The SEL R-Line fully equipped Tiguan Turbo comes with the 4Motion all-wheel drive system and an 8-speed automatic transmission. There is an option for manual shifting via paddles behind the steering wheel. However, the suspension and braking system remain unchanged — preserving the family character of the model.
In terms of exterior appearance, a black roof, 20-inch wheels, and illuminated front and rear logos stand out. The car will be available in three new colors, including Avocado Green Pearl.
Inside, there are Varenna leather seats, massage and ventilation features, a 15-inch touchscreen, a Harman Kardon audio system, and walnut wood trim. Additionally, there is a three-zone climate control, a projection display, and heated rear seats.
Sales are expected to begin in the fall of 2025. The starting price is approximately $48,000 (around 595 million soums).
