In Los Angeles, the nominees for the prestigious American Academy Awards, the 'Oscars', have been announced.
Nominees for 'Best Picture' are: 'Anora', 'Brutalist', 'Unknown Bob Dylan', 'Conclave', 'Dune: Part Two', 'Emilia Perez', 'I Am Here', 'Nickel Boys', 'Substance', and 'Cruel Woman'.
In the 'Best Director' category, the following nominees have been selected: Sean Baker ('Anora'), Brady Corbet ('Brutalist'), James Mangold ('Unknown Bob Dylan'), Jacques Audiard ('Emilia Perez'), and Coralie Fargeat ('Substance').
Nominees competing for 'Best Actress' are: Demi Moore ('Substance'), Cynthia Erivo ('Cruel Woman'), Maika Monroe ('Anora'), Karla Gascón ('Emilia Perez'), and Fernanda Torres ('I Am Here').
Nominees in the 'Best Actor' category include: Edrian Brody ('Brutalist'), Timothée Chalamet ('Unknown Bob Dylan'), Colman Domingo ('Sing Sing'), Ralph Fiennes ('Conclave'), and Sebastian Stan ('The Apprentice').
For 'Best Supporting Actress', the following names have been selected: Ariana Grande ('Cruel Woman'), Monica Barbaro ('Unknown Bob Dylan'), Felicity Jones ('Brutalist'), Jamie Lee Curtis ('Showgirls'), Isabella Rossellini ('Conclave'), and Zoe Saldana ('Emilia Perez').
Nominees for 'Best Supporting Actor' are: Yura Borisov ('Anora'), Kiran Culkin ('Real Pain'), Edward Norton ('Unknown Bob Dylan'), Guy Pearce ('Brutalist'), and Jeremy Strong ('The Apprentice').
Leading in the number of nominations is the film 'Emilia Perez' with 13 nominations. 'Cruel Woman' and 'Brutalist' have 10 each, while 'Anora' is nominated for 6.
The 'Oscar' award ceremony will take place on March 2.
