The Central Bank announced the new exchange rates set for April 17. According to this, the US dollar and euro have increased again, while the ruble has slightly decreased.
According to the new rates:
- 1 dollar — 12,994.59 soums (+13.70 soums)
- 1 euro — 14,761.85 soums (+38.92 soums)
- 1 ruble — 157.68 soums (−0.99 soums)
In the previous rate, the dollar had also increased in value — rising by 11.33 soums to 12,980.89 soums. At that time, the ruble had increased, while the euro had decreased. The new figures indicate that the soum is under pressure against major currencies.
According to experts, these changes are occurring against the backdrop of uncertainties in the external market and deficits in the external trade balance. Monitoring the dynamics of exchange rates is important for the population and entrepreneurs.
