
The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has set new official exchange rates for foreign currencies starting from April 25, 2025. Accordingly, significant changes have been observed in the rates of several major currencies.
Notably, the exchange rate of the US dollar has started to rise again. This time, the dollar has appreciated by 36.74 soums, setting the rate at 12,927.17 soums. Thus, the upward trend of the dollar observed in recent days continues.
In contrast, the euro has recorded a decline today, decreasing by 3.29 soums. The official price of one euro now stands at 14,717.58 soums.
The British pound has also increased in value, rising by 24.39 soums to reach 17,198.31 soums.
The Russian ruble has recorded a slight decrease. The ruble's exchange rate has fallen by 0.31 soums, now standing at 155.73 soums.
The currency of the neighboring country, the Kazakh tenge, has seen a slight increase, now at 25.01 soums (+0.15 soums).
Various movements have also been observed in the Chinese yuan and Japanese yen. The yuan has appreciated by 4.28 soums, now at 1,772.76 soums, while the Japanese yen has seen a slight decrease, now at 90.75 soums (-0.10 soums).

The exchange rates set by the Central Bank will be used for official transactions in banks and financial institutions in the country. Changes in currency rates may also have an impact on the domestic market and foreign trade relations.
