A serious crime occurred in the capital of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Upl.uz. According to information provided by Millar TV channel, in 2022 a woman abandoned her daughter to a bear attack, and three years later, she killed her daughter. The crime took place in the Sergeli district of Tashkent city. It was revealed that after the incident involving the bear, the woman was found to be mentally unwell and was prescribed treatment in a compulsory psychoneurological institution. On August 2, 2023, she was transferred to outpatient treatment. Medical assistance was provided to the girl after the incident, and she was placed under the care of her grandfather and grandmother. At the beginning of September, the child started the second grade. However, one week after the start of the school year, the woman killed her daughter with a kitchen knife. The suspect has been detained, and a criminal case has been initiated against her for intentional murder.

Additionally, within the framework of combating illegal migration, 39 Uzbek citizens were deported by the United States of America. Among them was a person wanted by Interpol for committing a large-scale fraud crime. These cases were carried out as a result of close cooperation between Uzbekistan's law enforcement agencies and foreign countries, especially Poland and the USA. This cooperation increases the effectiveness of apprehending criminals wanted and bringing them to justice. The detained individuals were received at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov and handed over to the relevant law enforcement agencies. Legal measures will now be taken against them.

Illegal transportation of gold jewelry from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan was prevented, the State Security Service press office reports. This was reported by Upl.uz. A special rapid operation was conducted in cooperation between the State Security Service officers and representatives of the regional customs department. During the operation, a person born in 1987 residing in Fergana district and his accomplice were detained; they were citizens of Kyrgyzstan attempting to smuggle gold jewelry into Uzbekistan. It was revealed that the gold items were illegally transported across the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan border. It was established that these smuggled goods were intended for a person born in 1997 living in Jalolquduq district of Andijan region. This person was also arrested in Fergana city while receiving the smuggled goods from the suppliers. A total of more than 5.7 kilograms of various gold jewelry items were confiscated. According to preliminary estimates, their total value amounts to 5 billion 746 million soums. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident, and investigative actions are underway.

The introduction of a unified state exam is planned in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Upl.uz. This system will combine the final exams for school graduates, entrance exams to higher education institutions, and subject tests for obtaining certificates. This initiative was proposed recently at a meeting held under the president. Currently, graduates are required to take several different exams, which causes them excessive burden and administrative difficulties. Unifying the exams into a single system will simplify the process, save time, and help reduce the financial expenses of families. The idea of introducing a unified exam system is not being discussed for the first time in Uzbekistan. In April 2020, a proposal was made to conduct a single test consisting of compulsory subjects and elective subjects for faculty admission. In July 2022, the issue of combining the final school certification with higher education entrance exams starting from the 2024/2025 academic year was raised again. These changes aim to create a more effective and fair assessment system in the education sector.
