According to Football Insider, Madrid's Real club is interested in the 26-year-old French defender and is considering the possibility of signing him as a free agent in the current or next summer transfer window. Sources indicate that Real is ready to acquire Konate without compensation in 2026, but if negotiations go positively, a relatively small fee may be offered in the summer.
It is worth noting that Marca previously reported that the player had informed the Liverpool management of his desire to change clubs during the season. Konate has been representing Liverpool since the summer of 2021.
