Pavel Kamantsev, chairman of the Russian Football Union's referees committee, explained the reasons for not assigning referee Vasiliy Kazartsev in the second round of RPL matches. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He stated that considering the complex game and the pressure, a decision was made to give the referee a break. Additionally, the quality of his work was also taken into account.
In the previous round, Vasiliy Kazartsev officiated the match between Moscow's "Spartak" and Makhachkala's "Dinamo". His decisions led the "red-whites" team to file a complaint with the Russian Football Union's ethics committee.
Although the referee's decisions in certain situations were deemed justified, Kamantsev did not evaluate his performance as perfect. Therefore, the referee was given a break in upcoming matches.
This decision was made with the aim of further improving the referee's performance and enhancing his ability to work under pressure. The Russian Football Union continuously monitors the activities of referees and strives to improve the quality of their work.
