According to the source, the Spanish club has already agreed on the terms of cooperation with Witsel. The footballer aims to stay in La Liga after leaving Atletico Madrid in the summer.

Aksel Witsel played for Zenit St. Petersburg from 2012 to 2017 and appeared on the field for five seasons in Russia. He has also played for Germany's Borussia Dortmund and Portugal's Benfica.

Last season, the 36-year-old footballer played 22 matches for the mattress makers, scoring one goal and providing one assist. His experience and role in the game are considered important for the team.
