Andrey Talalaev, the head coach of the "Baltika" team, gave an interview to the "Match TV" channel after the match against the "Akron" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He emphasized that the score was 1:1 for most of the game, but they regretted losing in the final minutes. Talalaev stated that standard situations need to be played until the end and noted that the team only faced a dangerous situation in their own goal in the 47th minute.
According to him, in football, every standard situation can be called or not called by the referee. The head coach confirmed that several players were injured and mentioned that treatment is necessary for their quicker recovery.
After the match, regarding the verbal altercation with Zaurni Tedeev, he stated that it was just an emotional response to the defeat and that he apologized. Talalaev pointed out that the losses in the early cup matches would not seriously affect their plans, as it provided opportunities for players who had less game practice.
Regarding the debut of the new player Ivan Belikov, the coach said it was difficult to give an individual assessment, but the team managed the game well. He added that he tried to reduce the pressure in the game by making substitutions and bringing experienced players onto the field.
Overall, it was emphasized that there is still a lot of work to be done in the team.
