Aleksey Ryskin expressed his opinion as the sports director of the "Rostov" football club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He commented on the discussions regarding head coach Valery Karpin holding two positions simultaneously. It is known that Karpin has been managing the Russian national team since 2021.
This summer, he signed a three-year contract with Moscow's "Dinamo" club. According to Ryskin, he does not understand the recent criticisms being voiced on this matter.
Some suggest that Karpin's dual role is causing players to try to move to "Dinamo" to play for the national team. Ryskin considers this idea unfounded.
He cited the example of Kazakhstan national team player Zaynutdinov, who moved to "Dinamo" specifically for Karpin. Ryskin stated that Valery Georgievich is a strong and charismatic coach.
Players want to work with him, whether he is managing the national team or not is not important to them. Currently, "Dinamo" is in seventh place in the Russian championship with four points after two games.
