Former football player Aleksandr Sapeta shared his thoughts on the main rivalry between two famous Moscow teams – Spartak and Dinamo. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He also commented on Spartak's head coach Dejan Stankovich. According to Sapeta, he had previously rated Stankovich's performance highly.
In his opinion, Stankovich has managed the team well and has been able to provide strong motivation to the players. However, it became difficult for the coach when Spartak started showing poor performances in the spring months.
Sapeta emphasized that Spartak is currently not in the best form, while Dinamo is positioned higher in the league table. The specialist expressed hope that Dinamo would win against Spartak in their two encounters this season.
According to reports, the first capital derby of the new season in the Russian Premier League will take place on September 13 between Spartak and Dinamo. Thus, the rivalry between the two teams has always been interesting for the fans.
