Initially, an agreement was reached for Akpom to move to “Birmingham,” and he was set to undergo a medical examination. However, later “Ipswich” also expressed interest in adding the player to their squad and joined the race for the transfer.
In the meantime, the medical examination scheduled for “Birmingham” was canceled, and a new medical examination was appointed for “Ipswich.” At the same time, “Birmingham” offered a more lucrative contract.
However, Akpom himself expressed a desire to move to “Ipswich.” The management of “Ajax” is also looking to reach an agreement with “Birmingham.”
