Dejan Stankovich may soon be relieved of his position as head coach of the "Spartak" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Sources covering football news have reported this. According to information, during a recent meeting, Stankovich informed the club management that if he were to be dismissed, he would not demand full compensation.
It is worth noting that last season, under Dejan Stankovich's leadership, "Spartak" finished in fourth place in the Russian Premier League. Following that, the club decided to extend the contract with the Serbian coach until mid-2027.
Currently, "Spartak" is in 11th place in the Russian championship standings. The team has collected four points in three matches under Stankovich's leadership.
Due to these results not satisfying the club management, the likelihood of the head coach leaving his position has increased. Internal negotiations are ongoing, and a final decision is expected to be announced in the coming days.
