James Maddison suffers a serious injury and will miss the season

Tottenham football club midfielder James Maddison has suffered a serious knee injury. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to BBC Sport, the 28-year-old player has been diagnosed with a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. Experts believe that Maddison will undergo surgery soon and will begin a long recovery process.

He came on as a substitute but soon after sustained a knee injury and left the field in a wheelchair. James Maddison has participated in 75 matches for Tottenham so far, scoring 16 goals and providing 21 assists during this period.

The club management and fans are hoping for the player's quick recovery and return to the squad. Maddison's absence will be a significant loss for the team.
