Barcelona football club goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has retained his position as team captain. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the club's official website, the 33-year-old player's captaincy had previously been temporarily suspended. This decision was related to his refusal to sign a medical report regarding a long-term injury.
Subsequently, an agreement was reached between the club and the player, and ter Stegen signed the necessary document. As a result, Barcelona was able to present this medical report to La Liga's management.
According to the club's statement, the disciplinary matter was closed, and the player was reinstated as captain. For reference, on August 7, the temporary captaincy of the Barcelona team was assigned to central defender Ronald Araújo.
Now, Marc-André ter Stegen will continue his role as team captain. The misunderstanding that arose between the club management and the player has been resolved positively.
