Stanislav Cherchesov, the head coach of the “Axmat” football team, answered the question of whether it was difficult to prepare the team for the match against “Zenit”. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, this match was the first game for Cherchesov as the head coach of “Axmat”. In the fourth round of the Russian championship, the Grozny team won 1:0.
Cherchesov stated that if the game had been against another team instead of “Zenit”, there would have been no changes in the preparation process. They would have carried out the same actions in any case.
The specialist emphasized that regardless of the level of the opponent, the preparation process does not change. The coaching staff approached the work without emotions, analyzing the rival team and studying the capabilities of their own players.
In the next round, “Axmat” will host the team “Krylya Sovetov” from Samara at their home ground. Thus, the team under Cherchesov's leadership is preparing for new challenges ahead.
