Former famous football player Aleksandr Mostovoy announced that he would not accept the offer to become the head coach of the capital's Spartak club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, Spartak had previously not given him the opportunity to undergo an internship. Mostovoy assessed this situation as unpleasant and emphasized that, therefore, he would not consider any offer from the club.
Mostovoy's statements were published through the Sport-Ekspress newspaper. Currently, some media outlets report that the current head coach of the Spartak team, Deyan Stankovich, may be relieved of his duties in the near future.
If he cannot improve the team's results, there is a possibility that the management will make a decision regarding this. Currently, the Spartak team is in 11th place in the competition table with four points.
They will face the Zenit team in the fifth round. This match will take place on August 16.
The team's subsequent results and the fate of the coaching staff may become clear right after this game.
