Guberniyev: Safonov's future is not dependent on the Zabarnıy transfer

Famous sports commentator Dmitriy Guberniyev expressed his opinion about goalkeeper Matvey Safonov's future. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, the Russian player's performance at "PSG" is not dependent on the arrival of Ukrainian defender Ilya Zabarnıy. The official announcement regarding the transfer of the Ukrainian national team player was made on Tuesday.

Guberniyev stated that Safonov himself does not want to leave "PSG" and he is not being sidelined from the team because of Zabarnıy. He emphasized that currently there is an issue with goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma at "PSG".

Recently, the club also signed a contract with Chevalier, who will also compete for a starting position. Guberniyev mentioned that competition always exists in sports, and perhaps Matvey Safonov will withstand the competition and remain the main goalkeeper.

In his opinion, Safonov's future at "PSG" is not dependent on the Ukrainian player. Matvey Safonov joined "PSG" last summer.

He has won four trophies with the team: the French championship, the French cup, the French super cup, and the Champions League. On August 13 of this year, "PSG" will face "Tottenham" in the UEFA Super Cup.
