Dmitriev: The desire for competition and self-expression on the left wing

Spartak football team's left-wing forward Igor Dmitriev shared his thoughts on the competition with his teammate Markinyos. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to Dmitriev, he has almost always played as a left-wing forward. However, he also played as a forward until he was ten years old.

Dmitriev states that currently, his main competitor on the left wing is Markinyos. I understand well that Markinyos was recognized as the best player of the team last season, says Dmitriev.

Nevertheless, I try to show myself in every training session and every game, the player emphasized. Igor Dmitriev joined the Spartak team last summer.

However, he spent the 2024/2025 season on loan at the "Krylya Sovetov" team. In the current season, the 21-year-old player has appeared in four matches for the capital team and provided two assists.

Thus, Dmitriev is trying to find his place in the Spartak team and is striving to make the most of every opportunity. His main goal is to have regular playing practice in the team and to express himself.
