Bulgaria overtook Russia in the UEFA ranking

According to the results of the Eurocup qualifying matches this week, Bulgaria has overtaken Russia in the UEFA ranking. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Thanks to the successes of Bulgarian teams, the country's ranking points reached 18.375, while Russia's points remained at 18.299. Earlier, Ukraine and Azerbaijan had also moved ahead of Russia.

Currently, Russia holds the 30th position in the ranking. It should be noted that although Russian teams are banned from international competitions, UEFA takes into account their lowest ranking points from the last five seasons each year.

This points value is 4.333. Points for the 2025/2026 season will be counted later; for now, this position in Russia's ranking table remains vacant.

Once the points are accounted for, Russia may rise several places in the ranking.
