Zaur Tedeev, coach of the “Akron” club in Tolyatti, expressed his opinion on the tightening of restrictions on the number of legionnaires in the Russian championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He emphasized that artificial restrictions do not lead to good results. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on developing youth football and preparing strong players.
It is known that starting from the new season, the number of legionnaires allowed on the application will be reduced from 13 to 10, and on the field from 8 to 5. These restrictions will be implemented gradually.
Also, as before, restrictions will not apply to players coming from countries that are members of the Eurasian Economic Union. These countries include Belarus, Kazakhstan, and others.
These changes are aimed at developing local players and increasing the competitiveness of teams.
