Lactalis recalls infant milk products in Uzbekistan

The French major dairy products manufacturer Lactalis has initiated the recall process of certain batches of infant milk products sold in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the information, this process covers a total of 18 countries. The company announced that six batches of products under the Picot brand, sold in pharmacies and supermarkets, have been placed under control.
During inspections, bacterial-origin cereulide toxin was detected in the raw material composition of these products. It is emphasized that this substance can cause adverse symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea in children.
This measure was taken following a warning from a professional association for child nutrition in France. The risk is related to the omega-6 ARA ingredient, which was reported to have been sourced from an international supplier.
Experts advise parents to carefully check the batch numbers on product packaging, avoid using suspicious products, and follow official announcements. It is also reminded that consulting a doctor when necessary is important.
