The former head coach of the Russian national team, Stanislav Cherchesov, evaluated the first season of the Serbian head coach Deyan Stankovich at Moscow "Spartak". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In his opinion, the team did not fully showcase its potential in Stankovich's first season and failed to qualify adequately for the second stage. In this regard, Cherchesov emphasized in an interview on the "Match Premier" television channel that there were issues in the team's performance.
According to the results of the 2024/2025 season, "Spartak" secured fourth place in the league table. At the same time, the labor contract between the "red-whites" and Stankovich was extended until mid-2027.
This decision was accepted by the team's management as a sign of confidence in the coach. The specialist aims for the team to achieve better results in the upcoming seasons.
Thus, under Stankovich's leadership, "Spartak" faced many challenges last season and tried to find its way. New tasks and goals lie ahead for the coach.
The team's fans and experts are hopeful for the future, believing that Stankovich's experience and management will strengthen the team further.
