Bakaev competes for a spot at Lokomotiv

Former “Spartak” team head coach Valeriy Gladilin stated in an interview with the “Euro-Futbol.Ru” network publication that the new player of the “Lokomotiv” team, Zelimxon Bakaev, will not be in the starting lineup. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, there are other players in Bakaev's position at “Loko” and his playing time in the starting lineup depends on him. The team has such talented and young players.

For example, Komlichenko will definitely play, but Bakaev will have to compete for minutes on the field. The 29-year-old Bakaev joined “Lokomotiv” as a free agent in the summer of 2025.

In the 2024/25 season, he played 28 matches for the “Khimki” club, scoring six goals and providing three assists. Bakaev's contract with “Lokomotiv” is set to last until the summer of 2027.
